Bag Tag Challenges rules

Richmond County Disc Golf Group – Bag Tag Challenge Rules The purpose of the Bag Tag Challenge is to encourage friendly competition between members of the Richmond County Disc Golf Group. Have fun within the rules of the game and remember that it is just a tag so respect the challenge and challenger.

Challenge Rules/Conduct

1. Current RCDGG members who possess a bag tag in hand may issue/schedule/participate in challenges.
2. Any player with a higher Bag Tag number can challenge a member with a lower bag tag number.
3. The challenged player will have no more than one week to play a round with the challenger. If there is not a time that works for the two parties then the challenge is void and no tags are swapped.
4. All RCDGG tag holders will have a maximum of ONE MONTH to participate in a RCDGG Tag Challenge. If a player can not participate within this time, then said player will be suspended from participating in tag challenges for a predetermined period of time. This player will need to return the tag at their earliest convenience or face further suspensions. The player that is suspended will then not be allowed to play until the next RCDGG Club Tag Challenge is ran and completed (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter challenges will be held). If a player has multiple instances of failing to play within the ONE MONTH window, or does not return their tag, then this player will be suspended from all tag related events for the remainder of the given year.
5. Players CANNOT avoid a challenge by leaving their bag tag at home or stuffed in their bag. Refusing to accept the challenge will result in the forfeiture of your tag to the challenger. (Further forfeiture rules below)
6. In the case of a tie, the winner is to be the player with the lowest bag tag number at the beginning of the round. However, IF ALL players agree before the round starts; a play-off hole(s) can be used as a tiebreaker for the tie. The hole to be used for the tiebreaker is to be determined prior to the round beginning.
7. Incomplete Round: if a player cannot finish the round then the exiting player must swap his/her tag with the highest tag number. If play is stopped by ALL players prior to the end of the round then no bag tags will be swapped (weather, daylight, etc.).
8. Bag tags must be swapped immediately following the conclusion of the round played.
9. Challenges can be made in person, by phone, or through the RCDGG Facebook page. However, all challenges and the scores of the challenges are to be made public to the group within 24 hours of completion. If a player continually to participate in tag challenges without making the scores public then said player will be suspended from tag challenges for a predetermined time period.
10. Challenges are on a round-by-round basis and will not include more than one round of play. Also, no challenges can be made back to back. A player cannot challenge you, lose to you, and immediately challenge you again for another round. However, if ALL parties agree, consecutive round challenges are allowed.
11. Doubles rounds WILL NOT be included in any bag tag challenges unless ALL parties of at least two teams in a group own a bag tag and agree to the challenge.
12. TOURNAMENTS/LEAGUES: All MUST participate in challenges at an RCDGG ran tournament or monthly and are considered AUTOMATIC Bag Tag Challenge events. No Match Play unless the tournament is designed to be Match Play. The tags of all eligible tag holding members will be placed into a pool and distributed by the score at the end of the tourney/league. There will be no sudden death to decide ties, as the player with the lowest tag number will be deemed the winner based on Rule 6. All other leagues and tournaments DO NOT fall under this rule with regards to players having to automatically participate in a tag challenge. It is up to the player(s) to whether or not a tag challenge with occur at non-RCDGG events. These tag challenges will still need to be reported and documented as normal.

Rankings
1. Bag Tag rankings can only change due to the results of a challenge or tournament play.
2. Rankings to start a new calendar year will be decided by an end of year RCDGG Championships in order of finish. The lowest score gets the lowest tag number. Players joining after this event will receive the lowest available tag.
Please contact Chris McDonald if you would like or know anyone that would like to receive a RCDGG Tag.

Forfeiture
1. Each Bag Tag belongs to the ENTIRE club membership and should be accessible to all club members. Any club member will be required to surrender his/her Bag Tag if:
• He/She is found to be purposely concealing the Bag Tag, especially with a low number.
• Refusing and/or “forgetting” to carry his/her Bag Tag, especially to events where members are “likely” to be present.
• Refusing Automatic Challenges.
• Generally denying Bag Tag access to other members (TBD by 2 or more club officers).
2. Bad Sportsmanship, littering, and damage to the course will also warrant forfeiture of your tag and membership to the club. Any member found to be associated with any of these actions will be removed and not allowed to participate in any other club ran events. Any actions confirmed by the removed individual after the removal from the club will be reported to the local authorities.
3. As noted by Rule
4 in the Challenge Rules/Conduct section any player than does not participate in a tag challenge within ONE MONTH of receiving the tag or playing a tag challenge, then said player will be suspended for a period of time. The player will then be allowed to play again once a RCDGG Club Tag Challenge event can be ran. If this situation occurs multiple times for a specific player then said player will then be suspended from all RCDGG tag events for the remainder of the given year.
